Faith No More formed in San Francisco in 1981. At one point in time, FNM was fronted by Courtney Love. Fortunately for all of us, the band settled on, and found success, with lead singer Mike Patton.
One year after Patton joined the band, FNM had their breakthrough hit “Epic”. By 1997, they were pretty much done. They released Album of the Year in June of 1997 and broke up in April of 1998.
Patton started about 26 different bands in the 11 years that FNM was broken up. FNM reformed in 2009 and have not ruled out recording a new album.
This is “Ashes to Ashes” from Album of the Year by Faith No More.
