Electric Six formed as The Wildbunch in 1996 in Detroit. Playing clubs like the Old Miami and The Gold Dollar, they sprung from the same the same scene that spawned another Detroit band, the White Stripes.
Speaking of which, there may (or may not be) a White Stripe on this song. While nobody affiliated with the recording will confirm it, the other voice in this song is probably, maybe, possibly Jack White.
“Danger! High Voltage” went huge in the U.K., reaching number two on the pop charts there, and Fire! went on to spawn two more hits overseas. While not finding quite the same audience here, Electric Six has gone on to record and release seven albums.
For the foreseeable future, this is the only song I’ll be posting that references Taco Bell.
