The phrase “We’re huge in Sweden” isn’t one that is regularly tossed around by bands, but is absolutely true when applied to Kent. With 20 Swedish Grammys (yes, there is such a thing) over a ten album career, Kent may very well qualify for their self-proclaimed title of “Sweden’s Biggest Rock Band”.
In the late ‘90’s, Kent took a run at the U.S. market. After releasing two English language albums and touring the U.S., they re-considered and returned to Sweden to re-group and release five more albums.
